Methods for maintaining and repairing foam pumps

Given that one of the issues that people are concerned about is how to maintain and repair the foaming pump, this article will conduct the following systematic analysis and suggestions:
1
Daily maintenance points
1) Before operation, check if the liquid in the pump is fully filled to avoid running without liquid, which may cause damage to the mechanical seal.
Ensure that the valves in the suction and output pipelines are in the correct position and without blockage or leakage .
2) During operation maintenance
Check the shaft seal packing: Check once a month if the shaft seal packing is leaking. Address any abnormalities promptly .
Maintenance of pipelines and valves: Regularly check if the pipelines and valves are leaking. Apply grease to the screw rod area for anti-corrosion .
Lubrication of bearings: Regularly add an appropriate amount of clean lubricating grease through the oil nozzle to avoid overfilling (to prevent bearing overheating) and impurities from entering .
Adjust the gap between the impeller and the guard plate: For metal-lined pumps, keep the gap at 0.5-1mm, and for rubber-lined pumps, set the appropriate gap by taking half of the total movement .
Post-operation maintenance
3) Before stopping the pump, it is best to rinse the pump chamber with clean water to remove residual liquids and protect the internal parts .
When not in use for a long time, rotate the bearings by hand once a week to prevent deformation and rusting .

Cleaning methods
1) Cleaning of the foam pump head
The main method for cleaning is: If clogged, use tools such as tweezers to gently clean the internal debris of the pump head. For stubborn stains, use a water jet device with water for rinsing.
Rubber or plastic parts are cleaned with water or mild cleaning agents, and metal parts can be soaked in white vinegar or citric acid solution to remove scale and rust .
2) Maintenance of the foam generator and filter screen
Soak in hot water with white vinegar or citric acid to dissolve scale and impurities, then rinse with clean water .
For rusted components, a chemical method can be used: a mixture of white vinegar or citric acid combined with heating can effectively remove rust .
3) Cleaning of splash pads and faucets
When cleaning the faucet, pay attention to removing the scale and impurities on the foam generator (filter screen), and use small pliers or tweezers to assist in removal, then reinstall after cleaning .
3
Precautions
Do not forcefully twist or pull the pump head, to avoid damaging the internal structure or causing small parts such as glass beads to fall out .
Avoid using sharp objects during cleaning to prevent scratching the surface or damaging the structure .
When installing, ensure that all components are dry, clean, and installed firmly to prevent leakage and loosening .
4
Common faults and handling
Abnormal flow/High noise: Usually due to cavitation, blockage, or component wear, check the pipeline seal and the state of the impeller, and replace the worn parts as necessary .
Leakage: Check the sealing parts and connection areas, and replace the aging sealing ring .
Overheated bearings: Mostly due to excessive or unclean lubricating grease, follow the specified addition cycle and amount .
